Can you tell us about your background and what inspired you to pursue a career in your field?

I got into the stock market during the pandemic when meme stocks became popular. I was amazed by how many day traders, like me, could influence the market. That time taught me a lot about how the stock market works and fueled my passion for learning and growing my portfolio. I wanted to make smart choices, and the excitement of potential growth kept me motivated. It was a key moment that made me dig deeper into understanding how the market moves.

What was the pivotal “aha” moment that defined your leadership or business approach?

I quickly realized there was a lot I needed to learn, especially about patience. While trading helped me understand timing and strategy, it was my experiences with people—whether at Valley Subaru or with my investment partners—that shaped my leadership style. Building strong relationships is just as important as being flexible and persistent in business. I’ve found that really connecting with people, understanding their needs, and helping them solve problems leads to lasting success. My big “aha” moment came when I stopped seeing things as simple transactions and started focusing on personal connections.

What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced, and how did you overcome them to achieve success?

One of the hardest parts was juggling learning about trading and investing while also focusing on my career in the automotive industry. At times, I felt overwhelmed, especially since I was teaching myself day trading while working full-time. The solution was discipline. I had to set up systems to manage my time better. It wasn’t easy, but figuring out how to prioritize my work and personal life made all the difference.

How has your leadership or innovation made a significant impact on your industry or community?

As a service advisor, I get to interact with people daily and help them make smart choices about their cars. Building trust with customers is important, and it has helped me grow professionally. My job lets me make a real impact by ensuring customer satisfaction. Beyond my work, I’m passionate about learning and sharing knowledge, which has led me to mentor others and give back to the community.

What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs or leaders looking to make their mark in your industry?

The best advice I can give is to stay patient and keep learning. No matter what you’re doing—whether it’s day trading, customer service, or running a business—there’s always more to know. You have to be okay with failing and see those failures as lessons. I’ve had many setbacks, but each one taught me something important. For entrepreneurs, being flexible is key. Things are always changing, so it’s important to be open to new ideas and ready to adjust when needed. Building strong relationships is also really important. The people you meet can be your greatest support.

Can you highlight a specific project or initiative you’ve led that showcases your innovation and leadership?

Starting my podcast was a big step for me. I used to be hesitant about putting myself out there, but it has been really rewarding. It gives me a way to share what I’ve learned about trading and leadership, and hopefully, help others learn from my experiences. It’s also allowed me to connect with more people in a simple and practical way. The positive feedback has been amazing, and it’s helped me grow both personally and in my career.
